Entering Broomhill along the long and leafy drive is like stepping back in time. As you approach you will see beyond the wide lawn and rose beds, one of Cornwall's most attractive Georgian manor houses. The cottages converted from old cob barns and stables cluster around the Manor House. Flowers are everywhere, with most of the cottages bedecked with hanging baskets and fig trees, and being over half a mile from any public road there is peace, seclusion and safety. There are beautiful cottages and one apartment in a wing of the Manor House. They are all furnished and equipped to a high standard with the cottages being laid out around small courtyards to form a small village like atmosphere free of vehicles. They vary in size from a small one bedroom cottage with en-suite bathroom for two people up to a three bedroom apartment with two bathrooms for six people. Whilst there is plenty to do for the active, our 35 acre grounds mean that you can always find peace and seclusion if you just want privacy and relaxation. For riders Very much part of Broomhill's heritage we have our own riding stables and our experienced staff give lessons each day covering all levels of experience. Beginners have the benefit and safety of being taught in our own manege with gentle hacks along the private lanes of the estate, whilst more experienced riders have access to local bridleways, the downs, and when the tide is right even the beach.For walkers We are very close to the South West Coastal Path giving some of the county's most breathtaking coastal walks and we are also within easy reach of both Bodmin moor and Dartmoor.For swimmers Swimmers are spoilt for choice - we have a luxurious and tropically heated indoor pool in an attractive building which also houses a Jacuzzi, sauna, solarium and gymnasium. From May to September we also have a heated outdoor pool surrounded by a sun-terrace with plentiful sun loungers.For fishermen Being situated in the West Country fishermen are spoilt for choice with sea fishing and several coarse and fly-fishing venues nearby. Equipment for sea-fishing, coarse fishing and fly-fishing is available for hire.For golfers There are several top quality golf courses nearby and only minutes away is a fine nine hole course ideal for beginners. For tennis players We have an all weather court with floodlights for evening playing, and can also supply rackets and balls. For young families For young children there is plenty of freedom to run around safely and there are play areas containing forts, Wendy houses, swings and adventure equipment hidden in the grounds.
