| description | Cottages on the Poltalloch estate 8 miles NW of Lochgilphead, South of Oban, Duntrune castle stands on a rocky promontory on the N side of Loch Crinan. the enclosure is late medieval and the tower house inside c.1600. Restoration and alterations were undertaken in 1796 when the castle came into the hands of Neil Malcolm of Poltalloch. It is still in the Malcolm family and is in use as a family home.
