18th Century owner-managed stone farmhouse in 7 acres of parkland bordered by our own stream and woods, surrounded by mixed farmland, sunflowers and vines. We are 6kms from the medieval French-bastide town of Eymet where there has been a market every Thursday since June 1270 and 3kms from the tiny medieval English- bastide village of Fonroque whose baker will deliver baguettes and croissants daily – if you let him! Local sports include tennis, golf, fishing, canoeing, riding, biking. Visit chateaux, abbeys, bastides, markets, prehistoric caves, vineyards ….. or just relax in our peaceful surroundings. Accommodation- 2 newly-converted gites which can interconnect if required: the Barn and the Pigeonnier. The Pigeonnier has a double bedded room and two twin bedded rooms, one of which can be used as a second sitting room. The Barn has 3 double rooms. Each gite can accommodate up to 6 and may be booked together or separately. Kitchenette, dining-living room (with log burner and heating for winter months), patio and barbecue, bathroom with wc and basin, and the Barn has a second shower room with wc and basin. Linen and towels provided; laundry service available. Lending library and video library; television/video.Facilities- Large new sunken pool with the latest in water jet and lights, and with ample poolside space for lounging. Assorted game sets – ping-pong, football posts, boules … Separate entertainment area. Fax and e-mail. Bilingual assistance. French and/or Spanish tuition if desired. Babysitting.
