description This delightful country cottage in a peaceful rural setting, with stunning views towards Kennack Sands and over Goonhilly Downs is close to the picturesque fishing village of Coverack at the head of the Lizard Peninsula. The nearest beach is ¾ of a mile.
about The Lizard is one of most attractive holiday areas in Cornwall, with its unspoilt moorland; a paradise for bird lovers and naturalists where many species of wild flowers flourish in its temperate climate and some of the best coastal walks in the West Country; explore the cliffs and coves of the Lizard and the creeks and lanes of St.Anthony, Manaccan and Gillan. There are excellent pubs, restaurants and shops (including a butcher) in St Keverne 3 miles. The Helford River a magnificent safe sailing centre and the picturesque village of Gweek, with its seal sanctuary, are within 15 minutes drive. Helston with a full range of shops is 8 miles. Further away is the port of Falmouth and the City of Truro beyond.

The house has panoramic views from all the rooms, a sun trap of a terrace and delightful garden facing the sea with a sheltered patio to the rear, ideal for barbecues with a granite table and corner seating. To the side of the house there is wooden decking ideal for sunbathing or for watching the spectacular Lizard sunsets. The garden slopes down in a series of terraces to a lawn with summerhouse and a natural stream (with fence in between).

Triple aspect living room with TV and video and working fire, french window to terrace with fabulous panoramic views towards Kennack Sands with Lizard point beyond. Also on the ground floor is a shower room and a separate WC. On the first floor there are two Bedrooms, the first, with twin beds, triple aspect with rural and sea views the second with double bed with magnificent views of the garden and Goonhilly Downs beyond. There is a Bathroom with bath, shower and wash hand basin and WC.

Those who enjoy bicycling, gardening, golf, birdwatching, painting, sailing and walking will find this area of particular interest. There are good beaches close by at Kennack Sands, and at Kynance Cove, Coverack (wind surfing school), 5 minutes by car, Praa Sands and Loe Bar.
